First off I wouldn't look at what are they selling but I would dip into how you personally can offer a person or community something of value.

Once you figure that out you either get your own product together or you can become an affiliate for someone who has a product that matches your audience 

There are several ways to sell your product locally. You can start by creating a website or online store to showcase your product and reach potential customers. 

A great method that has worked for me is I have made several small QR codes and I place them around relevant areas where possible buyers may be. 

People are curious and surprisingly a good amount will use the code just to have a look. If you attach a cookie to the link then you can get commissions if they decide to buy. 

You can also use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to promote your product and reach local customers. 

Additionally, you can attend local events and trade shows to showcase your product and network with potential customers.

There are tons of "hot communities" around so I don't believe that you need to exactly know "what they are selling" but in fact how they are selling could be more beneficial.

 Finally, you can use traditional methods such as print advertising, direct mail, and word-of-mouth to reach local customers.

In closing, I wouldn't worry about what others are selling just how you can sell better!
