Do retargeting emails strip creator attribution

Do retargeting emails strip creator attribution

Say a customer clicks Creator A’s affiliate link to Store B, adds an item in the cart but doesnt buy.

Later, Store B sends them a cart abandonment email with a discount code. If the customer clicks the link in that email and completes the purchase, does Creator A still get credited with the commission?

Thank you!

Pet blog has been paying for my house for 6 months now

Pet blog has been paying for my house for 6 months now

ok so this is a weird one but bear with me

i have a pet blog. i don't own a pet. never have. probably never will as i travel too much. and yet every month amazon sends me enough to cover rent because people on the internet are buying stuff for their dogs and cats through my site.

bought my pet blog a few months ago from a marketplace called NicheBlogZone for $199. came already built, articles already up, amazon links already in there. i spent one afternoon doing interlinking basically just connecting related posts to each other so search engines understand the site structure and then closed my laptop and genuinely forgot about it for weeks.

here's what that's looked like:

  • march: $710
  • april: $995
  • may: $1,461
  • june: $1,647
  • july: $1,461
  • august so far: $1,545 (amazon pays 2 months delayed so this is june's money landing now)

march scared me. went from nearly $1k in february down to $710 and i was convinced something had broken. checked everything, found nothing wrong, did nothing. it just came back the next month on its own.

pet people spend insane amounts on their animals btw. like i knew this intellectually but seeing the commission data is something else. dog food subscriptions, orthopedic beds, grooming kits, vet supplements. and because of the 24 hour cookie i get a cut of everything in their cart not just whatever article they landed on.

i do literally nothing to maintain this. no new posts, no ads, no instagram for pets i don't have. i just own the thing and amazon does its thing.

my landlord has been getting paid every month and has no idea a pet blog is behind it. honestly sometimes i forget too until the deposit shows up.

anyone else running a niche they have zero personal connection to? curious if the detachment makes it easier or harder to care about growing it

Help with conversion

Help with conversion

Hi everyone, I have a TikTok travel account to generate some extra income through affiliates. My account has 17K followers and videos with up to 500K views. I use Booking and eDreams. The problem is I’m not getting much conversion.
I use CTAs like “more info in my bio” where the link to my website is, and I also reply to direct messages, though I don’t reply to comments.
I need advice to try to fix this, anything would be a huge help.
Thanks

How do you find something you wrote months ago, if you use more than one AI assistant?

How do you find something you wrote months ago, if you use more than one AI assistant?

Genuine question, because this is the problem I have spent the last year on.

I use ChatGPT for drafting, Claude for long documents and Gemini for anything involving Google files. The result is that my history is in three places, none of them searchable in a useful way, and I regularly know I wrote something without knowing where.

What I ended up building indexes conversations locally in the browser and searches all of them at once, plus folders and export that work the same way on each. It is called AI Toolbox and version 3.0 went live on Product Hunt this morning, which is the only reason I am writing this today rather than any other day.

Mostly I am curious how other people handle this. Multiple browser profiles? Copying everything into Notion? Just accepting the loss?

Abysmal click rate on FB Reels (1.5M views, 0 sales). Need funnel advice.

Abysmal click rate on FB Reels (1.5M views, 0 sales). Need funnel advice.

I run a FB Reels page in the joint pain/natural remedy niche (mostly older audience, ~30% US traffic). The organic reach is popping, but my traffic off-platform is essentially dead. I started running the page around 4 months ago, and in the last 28 days I got:

  • 1.5M views
  • The setup: "Comment YES" CTA -> Automated DM with a supplement affiliate link
  • The result: 36 link clicks total, 0 sales

I know FB message requests hide a lot of automated DMs, especially for an older demographic, but 36 clicks out of 1.5M views feels broken. I tried with freebie, but just gathered low purchase intent people on my email (around ~200 subs).

Feel like I'm going crazy. What would you do?
